I was so excited when Keith and Kristina reached out to me for their engagement session! They wanted a very laid-back, authentic session set in their very own home. I loved the premise of capturing their everyday lives and activities they enjoy doing together. I wanted the session to feel true and unique to their relationship, and I am so happy with how their gallery turned out!
We began the session with some adorable, relaxed poses on the couch. As you can see, they were professional posers straight away! Their dog Nico and cat Milo even joined in!
We then moved into what they call their “New Orleans Room”. I fell in love with this room — everything inside of it they got in New Orleans, and it was so well-decorated!
Next, Keith and Kristina wanted some photos of them enjoying mimosas in bed together, and the results were too cute!
Another activity with a lot of meaning to this couple is playing Cribbage. When Keith and his family taught Kristina to play for the first time, she ended up getting a perfect hand (or so I’m told — I’ve never played this game so I was learning as we took these photos!)! Apparently this is an incredibly rare occurrence, and a memory they are both fond of. We recreated that moment here, then I watched them play a real round and struggled to figure out what was going on (haha)!
I absolutely love this small dining space in their home, so we captured some photos of them enjoying coffee together there. While we captured these photos, they looked at the flowers on the table and decided right then and there that those would be their wedding colors. You know I had to get some detail shots of the bouquet at that point!
Now by this point I just KNEW they were cooler than I’ll ever be — they had a cheese board out in the kitchen, and of course I assumed they had prepared it for the photos. As it turns out, Kristina just ~makes~ cheeseboards on the weekends for fun! I aspire to be this fancy. We just had to get some photos of them enjoying it together!
Another activity they love doing together is pasta-making. We got some adorable photos of them preparing the dough, having a mini flour fight, and slow-dancing to their favorite songs.
If you thought they were cool now, just wait until you hear this. Keith and Kristina are both engineers, and met while constructing Artemis-1 for NASA, which launched in late 2022. At this point in the session, the kiddos woke up and got to join in on the fun! We got some photos of them as a family building a Lego reproduction of that very same rocket — how cute is that?!
We closed out the session with some photos of Keith and Kristina together with the boys, pretending to cheer for their favorite football teams, and even building a blanket fort! I am so grateful that this sweet couple reached out to me and had so much fun during this session! Thank you Keith and Kristina!
